Supporters Speed Into Season for Science Museum

The South Florida Science Museum kicked it into high gear with their Fast Cars and Fashion event hosted by Frances and Jeffrey Fisher.

Nearly 200 guests gathered recently to hear about exciting plans for the upcoming season, including the March 30th, 2012 gala What Lies Beneath: An Evening of Nautical Mystery and Adventure. Guests at the special reception enjoyed beautiful fashions presented by Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach while surrounded by vintage and exotic cars.

“This is such an exciting time for the Museum,” said Frances Fisher, board member and honorary chair for the 2012 Gala. “We are well poised for great things as we look forward to the next 50 years for this well-loved institution.”
Oceanographer and deep sea-explorer, Dr. Robert Ballard will be the featured presenter at the Museum’s Gala to be held in the Circle Ballroom at The Breakers, Palm Beach. The elegant evening will feature a cocktail reception and dinner followed by Ballard’s special presentation discussing undersea explorations and his discovery of the RMS Titanic.

Honorary chairs for the 2012 Gala are Frances Fisher, Matthew Lorentzen and John Niblack. Host Committee Chairmen are Liz and Matthew Fifield, Allison and Stuart Haft, Afsy and Carter Pottash, and Heath Randolph.

Sponsors for the Gala include: Grand Benefactor PNC Wealth Management along with Corporate Sponsors Florida Power and Light, Betteridge and Saks Fifth Avenue, Palm Beach.
